Native Bungalows Surrounded By Greenery

This enchanting green resort opened in December 2000. It was built on a spacious 5000m2 lot and was slowly and carefully developed over the years. We have 21 rooms, of which 16 are housed in 8 spacious two duplex (two under one roof) cottages, 8 beautiful Superior Deluxe rooms and 1 Suite. All buildings are constructed using native and natural materials. The roofs are made of ‘Nipa’, a leaf of fresh water palm that grows only in a couple of remote areas in Bohol. Furthermore we used lots of bamboo and wood to give the resort a natural look.

A lot of effort has been put into creating a natural looking garden environment that enhances a peaceful tropical holiday feeling. The garden around the swimming pool is full of flowers and there is large variety of trees to provide shade during the hottest time of the day. Chaise-longs and hammocks are provided for you to order drinks with one of our waiting staff that is always present throughout the resort.

From the garden area you can follow a pathway leading to a flight of stairs going down to the beach. Here the resort offers a beach bar and restaurant with lounge couches. Chaise-longs and parasols are provided during the day in our beach club near the beach. You can also hang around our diving pool and watch the action while sipping from your freshly made cocktail or ice mocha.

Some of the staff has been working in the resort for many years. They have become somewhat of a big family and many guest returns to enjoy their joyous company. Oasis Resort is not just made up by the environment and the facilities, but is so memorable thanks to the people living and working here, as most of our returning guests can testify.

ABOUT US

After visiting the Philippines during his travels, Dutchman Bj Schaap started his first Seaquest Dive Center in Moalboal back in 1981. These were the real pioneering days when tourism in the Philippines was still unheard of, except to backpackers with the lonely planet guide!

Slowly, in the 1980’s, tourists were starting to find their way to the Philippines, when the popularity of diving was increasing, it was time to expand the business and in 1990 a new dive shop was established at Alona Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol.

The last decade has seen plenty of tourist development. The local dive industry is still growing and so are we. Over thirty years of experience in operating resorts and dive centers has given us invaluable know-how.
We are one of the longest established and most experienced scuba diving operators in the Visayas. The Seaquest Dive Centers Philippines organization now consists of two dive resorts. Both dive centers are 5 star PADI Instructor Development Centers.

The success of the organization is thanks to the professional atmosphere combined with welcoming friendliness. Bj Schaap and his wife Maritess, who has been responsible for taking care of the beautiful gardens and homely decorations throughout the resorts, have worked hard to get where they are today.

Their efforts resulted in a steady flow of new and repeating guests who enjoy the holiday environment they created.

"Our guests come in as strangers but leave as friends!"
